General Summary

The role of this position is to generate revenue by meeting/exceeding the corporate sales goals by strategically delivering travel solutions to potential and existing Sky Access customers.  This role will serve as the primary new business resource while also maintaining strong on-going relationships with existing customers.  This role will work closely with several internal departments such as Marketing, Finance and Revenue Management.

 Responsibilities

  • Meet established sales quotas and revenue goals set by the company while at the same time contracting at a rate that meets or exceeds target profit margin
  • Establish long-term relationships by building rapport with customers during the initial sales cycle and through the lifecycle of the agreement
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the Delta Private Jets fleet and mission capabilities
  • Cultivate and close company-provided leads by selling the core benefits of the program, company and parent organization
  • Identify and understand the needs of the customer, recommending the most appropriate travel solution
  • Collaborate with Delta and DPJ sales teams to foster a teamwork environment driving overall departmental, corporate and organizational objectives
  • Drive client growth by targeting geographically, identifying market segments and an effective use of Social Media
  • Monitor empty leg offerings and proactively advise Sky Access prospects of their availability; provide additional travel and experience recommendations to heighten the allure of the membership
  • Attend partnership events, marketing events, and other avenues to represent the product and acquire new business
  • Monitor existing Sky Access customer travel patterns, bookings, and preferences to make recommendations for overall travel experiences that maximize the value of the product based on empty leg offerings
  • Monitor existing Sky Access customer service interruptions, cancellations, and Medallia surveys; follow-up with the customers proactively to resolve concerns and complaints
  • Maintain all prospect information in DPJ's contact management database (Salesforce©) and provide all necessary fulfillments from initial inquiry
  • Demonstrate work schedule flexibility and willingness to travel across the United States on short-notice in order to facilitate client meetings or participate in Sales / Marketing events
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects or events as assigned by the Director of Sales and Analytics or higher authority

 Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Communications preferred
  • Two to Three years' experience in sales or a business development role required
  • Previous employment in the private aviation industry preferred
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to exhibit a professional appearance and demeanor, consistent with our clientele 
  • Ability to prepare, articulate, and negotiate sales offers with C-level executives or their representatives
  • Ability to develop and deliver sales presentations, both in-person and over-the-phone
  • Strong organizational, decision-making, and analysis skills
  • Proven sales record for meeting or exceeding established goals
  • Ability to build and maintain both internal and external relationships
  • Willingness to travel up to 40%
  • Computer experience, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • CRM experience, such as Salesforce© or similar, preferred
