General Summary

Delta Private Jets is seeking a Manager of Aircraft Maintenance to oversee the successful opening of a new MRO location in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  The Manager's initial responsibility will be focused on staffing and prepping the hangar facility for revenue operations.  After the facility is open, the focus will shift to building a cohesive team and managing the daily workflow of AC with a constant focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. 



  • Foster a safety culture to provide a safe work environment for all employees and customers.
  • Manage all maintenance tasks that are being performed.
  • Ensure that all maintenance is completed in the most efficient and economical means possible, while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
  • Perform all maintenance in accordance with company policies, Delta private Jets procedures, manufacturer's maintenance manuals, and applicable FARs.
  • Complete all maintenance documentation in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • Ensure that the work area and equipment used by assigned personnel is adequate and kept in a clean and orderly condition and that all safety instructions are followed.
  • Must be knowledgeable of Delta Private Jets aircraft, applicable FARs, and Operations Specifications.
  • Manage staffing level by reviewing applications, conducting phone and in-person interviews, and extending offers.
  • Provide direction, coaching, and professional development to employees with an individual and team focus.
  • Build individual and team competencies with ongoing positive and constructive feedback, as well as thorough annual performance evaluations.
  • Establish individual and team goals and objectives; develop metrics and scorecards to monitor progress and achievement.
  • Use appropriate methods to help build a cohesive team; facilitating the completion of team goals. 
  • Will work with the Human Resource department of DPJ for guidance regarding any type of disciplinary action that is required beyond coaching.
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned by the Senior Vice President of Maintenance or higher authority.



  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must hold a current Airframe and/or Powerplant Certificate.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Must be willing to work in an environment that is subject to changing climate conditions and moderate noise levels.
  • Minimum of 2 years successfully managing an MRO facility is strongly preferred.
